About Baoji Department Store (Group) Company Limited

As an integrated enterprise group, Baoji Department Store (Group) Company Limited (In brief as "Baoshang Group") is the first listed commercial company transformed from a state owned company in Baoji city. It is also an experimental unit to establish modern enterprise system and chain management for Shaanxi province. By the end of 2006, the number of the company's employees has reached 4332, and the total asset has reached 772 million RMB, the annual Revenue has reached 694 million RMB.

Transformed from the Jing'er Road Department Store which was founded in 1956, the company was renamed as Baoji Department Store in the middle of 1980's. In 1994, the company was renamed again as Baoji Department Store (Group) Company Ltd. 0n 3rd July 1997,the company was listed on Shenzhen stock exchange (Stock Code:000796). The company had become the leading commercial company in Baoji city with the continuing reform.

As a diversified commercial enterprise group, the company's business fields cover retailing, hotel and restaurant, pharmacy, toll station, real estate, e-commerce, gas& coal mining, finance& insurance, advertising and so on. By the end of 2006, the principle business of retailing was composed of 23 stores, including architecture materials supermarkets and department stores. Baoshang Group gained good image and credibility from the public with years of efforts, with remarkable economic and social impact to Baoji City.
